How do you rate the strenght of the punch with rear hand? In the boxing stance right hand is the finishing hand, stronger that's why it's being kept in the rear to finish the fight with one accurate punch. How does it look in the right lead, I think that it's hard for K.O when punching less proficient hand?"
I will just say that.... Buczah do you train JKD? Have you ever trained JKD? Did you read those books: Tao of JKD, Bruce Lee Fighting Method, Bruce Lee
Jeet Kune Do commentaries on martial arts? In those books it is explained why keeping stronger hand in front is more effective, "strong side foward" is also something that distincts JKD from other martial arts.
About feeling comfortable in right lead.... I felt the most comfortable in right lead ever since, I always felt akward in left lead with right side in the rear.
When having stronger side in the front it's pretty much easier for K.O as in fight/sparring stronger, hand, leg is closer to the opponnent and also becouse they are more proficient.
Boxing keep the stronger side in the rear and Bruce percieved it as a "mistake"- the weak side; a disadvantage of boxing( and not only boxing becouse a lot of other classical MA had the weaker side in the front).
That's why he had designed The On guard stance, strong side foward. "JKD tactics" differs from "boxing tactics".
Remember the quotes and statements that I used: "JKD is unique". Which means that it has it's own structure and it is not simply incorporating techniques from many different MA, by doing that as an outcome you get: standing most of the time in left lead, punching the boxing jab kick with Muay thai kicks, do some grappling from BJJ, some trapping- Wing Chun mixed with Filipino MA- this is what I see when I look on JKD concepts.
Does it resemble to you what Bruce Lee was doing? Here on forum you can check the comparison clips
In boxing to knock out the opponnent you use two moves- One, two- leading left followed by rear cross,
In JKD you use only one motion to execute the possible K.O- Straight lead punch, becouse of the strong side in front- The economy of motion.
Remember Buczah, JKD is simple, direct, non classical.
