By the way here is the translation of what Buczah had wrote:
" I am glad that finally we have merithoretical discussion and we aren't argue who was whom student and when;)
Continuing the right lead position subject... Most of people fight in left lead. Positioning yourself in right lead when fight with them you are exposed for kicks, lead leg only their back and not centerline. Whole ceterline for example nose, jaw, stomach, groin are on the other side possible to hit only with rear leg or hand. Taking in mind that in JKD you use mainly right limb it's without a sense.
In the trainings conducted by Stefan it's not visible as everyone are standing with right lead position. The reality looks tottaly different most of the people that we can met fight in left lead. In conclusion when fighting with right lead against left lead we have very little places that we can hit the opponnent. I still don't understand what is the sense of training where everyone are in right lead if it's not reflects in on real fighting.
Stefan wrote that it took about half year for Ted to switch on the right lead. I think that half year of systematic training of weaker hand and leg it's enough to make out of them useful tool. What is the sense in switching into the position that isn't natural for the human, when you can train the weaker side, feel natural and have broader arsenal of techniques without need of changing the stance? "
Buczah, when I read your post I feel that sometimes you are loosing your point and your statements is unclear by that. Anyway I quess I got the main idea.
Firstly Stefan didn't wrote that it took half year for Ted to switch into right lead. Stefan wrote : "Ted told me that it took him 6 months to get the Lead Hand working apprpopriately." Which means that straight lead punch isn't that easy technique as some people think
To me right lead was from the very beginning more natural than left lead why? Becouse I am right handed, again you don't stand in right lead just for sake of standing with right hand and leg in front. You are stadning with STRONG SIDE FOWARD which means STRONG SIDE IN FRONT. Right handed person will stand with right hand and leg in front as this is his "stronger" side. Left handed person would stand in left lead as it is his "STRONGER" SIDE.
Why cover stronger tool in the back away from the opponnet when it can be held in front, closer to the opponnent, it's more dangerous for the opponent. Take both guys one is training his strong side foward and other train his weaker side in the same time period, who do you think would rather win? By training weaker side you must gain power in the punch why training with stronger side what you do is improving your power
By the way when fighting right position on left, why during the boxing match always left lead boxers have problems with right lead boxers? ?
Buczah you wrote that most of people, styles are fighting with left lead. Didn't I tell that JKD is unique?- The strong side foward
Do you have any comments on my post where I put Inosanto and Vunak videos and statements and compared it to Ted Wong, Bruce Lee, Stefan Nikander videos and statements?
