panowie, nie wiem czy powinienem, ale właśnie napisałem maila do programu TVN 'Uwaga!'.

A year ago he WON Poland's Judo Championship. Now, he is paralysed. He was attacked with a knife in one of the pubs in Wroclaw. Only AN expensive surgery can help him.

The tragedy took place at the Vulevu pub in Wroclaw. Kuba Tokarz, A 23 y.o. student of Physical Education Academy, came there with his friends. At ABOUT 3 a.m. a brawl STARTED. Several bruisers started BEATING Kuba's friend. Kuba came to his aid (RESCUE). A moment later he was lying in A puddle of blood.

Kuba has been practising (TRAINING) Judo for years. Last year he WON Polish Championship (szczerze mówiąc, nie wiem - ale albo wersja pierwsza, albo druga) . Earlier, he WAS FIFTH during the European Championships in Cyprus. Sport is his life. He can'T imagine himself spending the rest of his life bedridden (or rather wheelchair-ridden JESTEŚ PEWIEN, ŻE MOŻNA SIĘ TYM SŁOWEM TAK POBAWIĆ???).

He was STABBED TWICE with a knife. One of the blows was CRITICAL - the blade HAS cut the spinal cord...

He was moved BETWEEN HOSPITALS three times so far.

The neurologists from the first encountered that case for the first time so he was moved to the clinic.
THE DOCTORS AT THE FIRST HOSPITAL WERE PUZZLED BY HIS CASE AND HE WAS MOVED TO A POLYCLINIC.

Later he was moved to a Military Hospital (A CZY THE?) where operation on the verterbras is to be carried on.
LATER HE WAS MOVED TO A MILITARY HOSPITAL (W TYM WYPADKU OBA MAŁYMI) WHERE THE OPERATION ON THE VERTERBRAS WAS TO BE PERFORMED.

'But this won't bring back the feeling (???) in his legs', says Dorota Tokarz, Kuba's mother. The spinal cord only can be reconstructed in several hospitals IN the world. Such operations were PERFORMED successfully among others in Peking (Beijing) and in Lisbon. But the COST is too high for Kuba's family.

'None of the doctors could estimate how much money would the surgery (TEŻ SIĘ ZDECYDUJ, SURGERY CZY OPERATION) cost. It may be a few thousands as well as a few hundred thousands dollars, says Kuba's mother.

Kuba do not allows for a possibility of not recovering. - O CO TU CHODZIŁO???


All his friends support him. They brought him an anti-bedsore mattress, they want to organize a money-raise, they're looking for sponsors. But it's still not enough. 'We HAVE TO collect the money. We are grateful for every offering (NIE MAM PRZY SOBIE SŁOWNIKA, ALE TO RACZEJ NIE ZNACZY "DATEK")', they say.

Kuba does not remember how the bandits looked like. He only recalls people throwing chairs and that somebody knocked his teeth out with a whisky glass. 'Then, I woke up at the hospital', he says.

Nobody knows why the closed-circuit cameras didn't record the situation. Daniel Czaja, the manager of the Vulevu pub, says that the computer recording the film on the HDD had crashed. But the owner of the pub, Ms. (JEŻELI NIE ZNASZ JEJ STANU CYWILNEGO, NAPISZ PO PROSTU NAZWISKO )Beata Jankowska, explains that the computer hadn't even been turned on as she was out of the city and none of the employees had access to the computer room, to turn it on. 'The hard drive WAS SECURED BY THE POLICE. AN investigation will show whether the files were deleted or not', she says.

Ms. Jankowska offered her help. 'I am troubled by the fact that the INCIDENT took place at my pub.' She declared to give the money earned by the pub over a few days to Kuba's family. She promised CONSIDER a bigger action.

'Each penny is important', says Kuba's mom. 'I still hope that a real sponsor will come to us and offer his help.' [the biggest Polish sports supplements producer, Sportatut /trademark "Olimp"/ donated 10,000zł /ca. $3,000/ for the treatment of Kuba; Sportatut also promisssed to provide all the necessary supplements during his rehabilitation]

When it comes to other Kuba's successes, I'd like to add, that he won the eliminations of the Polish Vale Tudo Championship, he was second in the Brasilian Ju-Jitsu League [another tournament held in Poland]

fajnie, widze ze akcja sie rozkreca...przepraszam za krzywdzaca opinie o całym SFD....była one poprostu niesłuszna..Szacunek dla Olimpu :D

sorki ze tak odbiegam od tematu ale czy Kuba będzie mugł trenowac po tych zabiegach i rechabilitacji?? Wiem że sukces będzie gdy on bedzie mial czucie w nogach i bedzie chodzil ale tak sie zastanawiam czy to możliwe. i oczywiście jak bede miał kase to cos wpłace.
