MMA ogladaja w ameryce przewaznie biali. Przydaloby sie zdobyc troche czarnych widzow. To inwestujemy w niezachwycajacego ostatnio Rampage'a.
Wraca Gracie by przyciagnac fanow bjj i rodziny Graciech, a przede wszystkim Brazylijczykow (w koncu w Rio gala bdzie sie odbywac).
Czekam jeszcze co wymysla w zwiazku z Meksykancami. Moze jakas gala w Mexico City z Cainem, Diazami (oczywiscie po wchlonieciu Strikeforce), Cruzem, Sanchezem, Melendezem czy Garcia?
Moze Azja?
Chuuuuj wi, ale kasa ma sie zgadzac.

Unfortunately I'm not going to satisfy the seemingly unstoppable desire for many of you to justify your hatred for Bones. But I feel we as a community really need to step back and analyze the Jon Jones fame train and why there is so much opposition to it.
First of all, Jon Jones has an astronomical amount of physical talent. A volume of talent that we have probably NEVER seen in the sport. But his biggest asset isn't his enormous reach, speed, or wrestling pedigree, it's his mindset. He has the mentality of someone who aspires to be a legend. He works tirelessly to eliminate his weaknesses to make himself a better fighter. I highly doubt you will ever see the man walk into the cage ever looking out of shape. Drug or alcohol problems seem less likely for Bones than him giving birth. He doesn't let anything avert his focus of being not just a champion, but a great champion. His mindset is what helps him maintain the dedication to be great, without that, he could resemble one of the many great athletes in America working an assembly line.
Secondly, his accomplishments in the cage thus far rival, if not surpass all other fighters who have graced the cage by this point in their careers. Not just how his victories have come against grown, athletic, extensively trained men, employed by the largest and most competitive promotion in the sport. But how impressive, and seemingly effortless his victories were. Even his lone loss was a complete destruction of a man (Matt Hamill) at what he supposedly did better than anyone else in the sport. I find it funny that after every Jon Jones victory the suddenly the perception of his opponents' skills diminish in the eyes of the public. As if they weren't that good in the first place. But maybe Bones is just that good. Is that not a possibility?
Lastly, Jon Jones' demeanor is something that you rarely see in someone with the physical gifts and tremendous talent he possesses. Whatever you may dislike about Jon Jones' personal beliefs, what has kept him grounded and humble is his religion. I may not share his beliefs, but I respect what traits he has maintained thanks to his strong beliefs. So often you see vulgar displays of poor sportsmanship from athletes who have far less talent than Jones, where as Jones would be someone who you could definitely say is allowed to be cocky if he chose to be. In victory, in defeat(if that's what you want to call it against Hammill), and the times in between when engaging with the media, he has been a model of class and sportsmanship. With so much foul trash talk swirling around MMA on a daily basis, I find it hard to believe that anyone would realistically find Jones' respectful confidence out of line...
Well, in Jon Jones we have a 23 year old, with extreme talent both inherited and acquired. Who works extremely hard to improve upon that talent to make himself a better fighter. Who does not drink alcohol or do drugs. Who has impressively defeated all who have dared enter into combat with him in the cage. Who does not shy away from taking risks to entertain the fans meanwhile still fighting intelligently. Who doesn't talk "trash" or insult his opponents or the sport but yet is still confident in his own hard earned abilities. What could possibly be wrong with someone with these characteristics? Why do so many people hate a man who seemingly does everything the right way? Even in a country like America, where people often give blind support to their own no matter their character, skill, intelligence or anything else that one would think would matter to those choosing sides...the majority are rooting against the American! To me, Jon Jones sounds some sort of mythical hero who carries around a sword named Justice and defends the land on top of a unicorn!
But how many mythical heroes you know of are black?
And therein lies the problem with Bones. And it really disappoints me that a true role model such as Jones would be indirectly vilified by something as superficial as skin color. If a great man such as Jones doesn't deserve to be cheered for then there really is no hope for humanity.
Thanks for reading, I hope the fight tomorrow is a war. Good luck to both Shogun and Bones. They are both great ambassadors for the sport.
