The very talented ground fighter, Hammer, finally made his professional debut, against the very tough Kulak, in the only really one-sided fight of the evening. Hammer rushed in on Kulak immediately, and took him down. Initially, Kulak raised his guard and looked to be on the offence, from the bottom, but Hammer would have none of it and began a precise execution of GnP. Due to a pre-existing injury to his left hand, Hammer more or less only punched with his right hand, but what timing he showed, with that hand! Kulak defended well for the first couple of minutes, but soon Hammer rained down heavy punches, as he got to half-guard. They kept working to better their position throughout the 1st round, but Hammer took more and more over, as Kulak got dominated, by the skilled Norwegian. As the round wore on, Kulak concentrated more about defending the bombs from Hammer, than actually attacking, but he showed great heart. Kulak never gave up and kept trying for a reversal. He even managed to land a few good punches off his abck, but he looked like a beaten man, as the bell ended the 1st round.
The strategy was clear from the Polish corner, as Kulak desperately wanted a stand-up battle, coming out for the 2nd round. Initially, Hammer obliged, and connected with a couple of good right handers, over the top. Kulak was more confident standing, so Hammer ducked on his punches and took him down, again. This time, Hammer upped the pace and unleashed very hard bombs. He passed Kulak`s guard and landed thumping strikes as he mounted the Pole. Kulak was forced to turn away from the punches, and he gave up his back. Hammer went in for the kill, and landed a combination of precise blows to the finished Kulak, and Ervasti quickly jumped in to rescue the beaten, but very, very tough warrior. Kulak had nowhere to go, but kept on fighting and showed a lot of courage and heart. 2-0 to Ookami."
