Darren Butler

Darren was born somewhere north of the 49th parallel, in a place far, far away. He is 26 years old. He now lives in North Vancouver, BC. He works as a Norco Factory Team Manager. His role models are Wade Simmons, Dave Swetland and his grandfather. Darren also loves snowboarding, skiing, BMX and healing summers wounds. His dream is to find a way to make a living riding his bike and to travel the world.
Darren's accomplishments include being invited to three Red Bull Freeride events in the last year and riding his bike from Vancouver to Fresno, California. He is also the co-founder of the Koutenay Trail Builders Association in Invermore, BC (non-profit group devoted to opening designated mountain bike areas). His future plans include riding, getting kids and their parents to ride, getting an education, traveling the world and buying a ranch with a beautiful garden and some lovely dirt jumps.

This is apparent in his skills as a professional trials mountain biker. He has had strong segments in MPF's mountain bike films to date, and lists that as the major highlight of his career. He has refined his trials riding skills over the last five years by riding indoor BMX during the winter and dedicating his summers to riding for the Norco Factory team and filming with MPF and FLP. Shawn's life motto is "work less, ride more". He lists his role model as anyone who enjoys themselves on a bike.

Dylan Tremblay

Dylan was born in Trail, BC in 1981. Currently he calls Nelson, BC home. When the snow starts falling in Nelson he packs up to live and ride on Vancouver Island. He works odd jobs throughout the year to support riding all summer. Dylan wishes there was more money in the sport; "maybe a Trans World type of magazine to feature the pros". In a sport that is ever changing, Dylan still rides a hard tail bike; he's sticking to his roots of cross-country racing. BMX style dirt jumping or messing around in the cement filled city also compliment his riding resume.
Dylan currently rides for Specialized Bikes. Specialized was attracted to Dylan, because of his fresh new style rarely seen in the mountain bike industry. Dylan says he would like to push all aspects of the sport. "Racing is disappearing. A new event like big air/slope style/half pipe is what i want to see to showcase style".

Byron Grey

Byron lives in Invermere, BC. He was born in Kelowna, BC. He started riding BMX bikes as a kid, but received a serious taste for mountain biking in the summer of 1999 when he received recognition as a "rider with potential". Byron in known for being a jack-of-all-trades, a natural with people due to his easygoing attitude, and a willingness to try anything once. His skill comes from hard work, dedication, consistency, positive thinking and willingness to stick to it and do what has to be done. He is an all around athlete, and mountain biking has quickly become second nature. He also loves downhill racing and dual slalom. In one season he qualified to advance to the "Expert" class of downhill biking. This is his second season working with MPF productions on movies.
This all around nice guy is in his thrid year as trail/trials course builder for his local trail building association and the highly successful jumping demo at "Valley Appreciation Day". This is Byrons second year co-running Rob's Bicycle Works weekly "Bro Rides", which targets pre-teens to young adults to join the sport. This is also Byrons first year as head builder for BC Cup Dual Slalom course at Panarama Resort.
Byron has traveled and ridden throughout British Columbia and western Alberta doing free riding, races, movie appearances, festivals and promotional demonstrations. He thrives in the backcountry, especially with the trecherous mountaineering ascents(bikes on back!) and the long, untracked, no trail descents.
Byron wants to ride for the rest of his life. "There is no better feeling than giving it your all and knowing that you have support to back you up when you need it - and we all need it". His goal is to expose this great sport to others and create a positive lifestyle image surrounding the sport. His dream is to test and build bikes out of his own bike shop.

Mike Kinrade

Mike Kinrade, based in Nelson, BC, formed MPF productions along with other members of his crew five years ago. Im 1998, MPF produced its first film with the aid of veteran Ski film/commercial producer/director Bill Heath, who is one of the top names in the industry. Mike slowly found a niche for biking and decided to take it upon himself to go solo and make a bike film: "Hidden Pleasures" made in 1999/2000 was their first shot at mountain bike films. This movie received great reviews and was internationally distributed. It also won the Vancouver International Film Festivals outdoor/adventure category. "Hidden Pleasures" brought MPF a large amount of exposure in the industry amd helped MPF with its second film: "Second Coming", which is now being reviewed as "the biggest surprise of the season". This movie was supported by some of the industries most influential companies.
As a high caliber rider, Mike has been invited to many international competitions, placing high in every event. Mike is currently a member of the Norco Performance Bikes Factory Freeride Team and is also sponsored by other companies such as AXO cycling and SRAM Bicycle components.
