Sure.
Although it's probaly impossible to completely
isolate one head of the
deltoids from another (i.e. even during an overhead press, posterior
deltoid is working to fixate/stabilize the shoulder), functionally the
rear delts is far more akin to a back muscle in terms of what it does
than the anterior or medial deltoids.
A traditional grouping would be anterior deltoid work with bench work,
posterior deltoid with back work. Medial deltoid can be the redheaded
stepchild of the shoulder world since it gets (over)worked by most upper
body movemetns (if it's not a prime mover, it's acting as a stabilizer).
It could conceivably be grouped with either chest or back (or trained
by itself for the real rebels) but it's usually put with chest.
