ARONA: It'll be with Pride, Dec 31st. I'm gonna fight for the belt and I plan on winning to bring this belt home and finish Wanderlei Silva once and for all
PL: How is your training for this fight?
ARONA: It's the same type of training, I'm just looking for more intensity, but Im training to have a better fight.
PL: A lot of people talk about the rivalry between Silva and Arona, can you explain that?
ARONA: Rivalries are healthy as long as there's [mutual] respect. The rivalry is there to add to the sport, so that the athletes are more motivate and train harder and develop more. With Wanderlei I had a personal problem and this rivalry is personal, between him and me.
PL: Is there also a rivalry between Chute Boxe and BTT?
ARONA: Like it exists in a lot of other sports. To be honest we are brazilian and brazilians are emotional, we don't wanna lose, so the rivalry is very intense.
PL: Is there anybody you'd like to face?
ARONA: I'd like to face dutchman Alistair Overeem, because he already said he wants to fight with me twice and we haven't fought yet, so I want him for my next challenge.
PL: Talk about your fight with Shogun.
ARONA: My original plans were to let him kick, jump, do anything he wanted to do. When I went for the takedown, I ended up hitting my head and his whole weight came on top of me I ended up being knocked out and couldn't recover.
