what is Jeet kune Do

That's what is all about with JKD concepts guys when you can't prove the things which you have said you just feinting away, with hope that this topic will also vanish. But it won't. Stefan you are absolutley right. I am so gratefull to you Stefan for supporting me on this forum.

I think you are abolutely right, I have seen this same attitude evrywhere. Nevertheless, if someone chooses to step back, lets hope that there are also those who will stay and listen.

I don´t care if they stay because they believe in my oppinion more than anyone elses. I hope that they are staying to get as much information about JKD as possible for their own personal journey in JKD.

Now that we have established that everybody has the right to ask questions about the authentity about what they are representing. I would of course have hoped that this Progressive Fighting nethod representative would have continued to follow the discussion and given us some facts about his lineage and why they have chosen to represent JKD the way they have. Paul vunak has always been a inspiration for me in JKD, I am sure he would give me an answer, and therefore I am hoping that an instructor under him would speak for him on this forum


Speaking about the facts. Bruce Lee had three instructors at his school. Taky and james Lee certified in the Jun fan Gung Fu school and dan inosanto in JKD. There is only one person besides dan that is certified in JKD, this is Ted Wong who was not a instructor at a school, but chosen to be Bruce Leeé private. training partner in jeet kune Do.

Therefore we can easily trace the line back to Bruce lee, it would then Look something like this.

Dan Inosanto- Larry hartsell-?????
Dan Inosanto- Rick Young-?????
Dan Inosanto- Paul vunak-???
dan Inosanto-Tim tacket-?????
Dan Inosanto- Chris Kent-????
Ted Wong- Stefan Nikander-?????

I would put larry, Steve Golden and other people who trained with Bruce Lee (Tim and Chris never trained with Bruce, but with dan Inosantos Backyard School when Bruce lee closed his school and moved to Hong Kong)as second generation JKD students because their certification came from Dan Inosanto in JKD. They all trained and met Bruce lee, but only receieved a jun fan Gung Fu Institute certification, and under the line INSTRUCTOR, dan Inosanto wrote his signature, not Bruce Lee. Even at the College street membership cards Dan Inosanto was writen as the instructor, not Bruce Lee.

To receive a Jeet Kune Do certificate you had to be personally and privately taught by Bruce lee. And there weren´t too many of those.

These are the facts I have found. i hope that you will give me some facts back if you dont agree, not simple "take off" from the forum and hope that the facts go away.I am not saying that what i am saying is the ultimate truth, it is just the result of my research. If you have other results from your research, please share them with us. this is the only way to grow, both in life and JKD. Knowledgw, knowledge, knowledge.

I want to make one thing perfectly clear. I am not saying that I am better than any one else because I have authentic lineage. I am not saying that I am better than anyone else because i am a second generation instructur. I am only saying that everyone should keep to the truth. Not Claiming to be a Bruce Lee JKD instructor if they are only certified by an Jun Fan Gung Fu Institure instructor.

Let us be truthful,people will respect you for your knowledge and experience in JKD, not your certificate.People will repect me just because I am a second generation Jeet kune Do instructor if i am a lying asshole. You can have all the certificates in the world is not a guarantee to make you a good instructor. But lying about your certification will come back to everyone in the long run. Lets just be honest, stick to facts about JKD, teach what we teach under the correct names.

JKD is just a name, don´t fuss about. For me that means thet JKD is JKD, Kali is kali, Muay Thai is muay thai.Why make a fuss about it and make muay Thai to be JKD, Jun fan Gung certification a Jeet kune do certification. Lets just teach what we are authorized to teach. If we still teach the same punch, the same stance inspired by Bruce lee, lets do the man honour and be honoest about the lineage he started in his JKD. Lets do the man honest and continue his progress. And like he said "your truth will not be his truth", lets not call that which was not his truth JKD.

Stefan i see that things about you're talking about are very important for You, and You wan't to share it with ppl here. I appreciate it but I think nothing will be more potent argue than your RL meeting with persons You're discussing here. You've never see/speak with these ppl in RL and You're talking what are they doing/training?

Kenjiro know you are starting to talk without sense?? Could you answer for Stefan question?? Stefan is not saying nothing about what you are doing/training? He just asked about your research conclusions about JKD

Could you please help me sort out these facts. To me it seams that there are three "big" names in JKD in poland.

Swamprage- Obernie tylko JKD ??????

Did I understand Correct, are people not covinst that I am truthful in my background in JKD. Do they not think that I have visitet and trained with taky in Seatle, spent private time with him. Do they not believed that i have trained and met with steve Glden,Jerry poteet, jesse Glover, larry hartsell........ Do thet not believe that I am an authorized instructor under Ted Wong.

As soon as Michail will put up some videoclips from his visit in sweden i am sure that this will be sorted out. I will of course politely ask you all to present your background.I have alreday visited W.A website, but unfortunately I don´t speak polish ao I canot comment his backround. Hopefully he, or someone else will fill me in on the facts on his background, and Kenjiro and swampage will provide with pictures, videoclips their background.

Stefan, I haven't writed that I don't belive You! I'm glad that You wan't to share your knowledge with us. All what i wanted to say its just some things should be discussed in RL (maybe seminar with U in Poland?). There are not many JKD people and imho they should discus/talk/explore the art not make disputations...
