EXTREME HOMEGROWN

WANNA BE A STAR? THINK YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THE PROS?

In case you haven't heard (where have you been?), here at the Extreme Sports Channel, we're creating a brand new show called Homegrown. It's a chance for our viewers who think they've got what it takes, to send in their footage and prove it! We don’t want a clip of your cat falling off the telly - We wanna see you finally sticking a trick that’s been beating you up for months: footage from a holiday that turned into an adventure; even just a party that got out of control! If its funny, hardcore, outrageous or just plain crazy enough we'll take a look and you might end up seeing your footage on Extreme being broadcast across the globe. And its up to you to provide the show’s soundtrack too, so if you’re in a band then get your tunes to us and we’ll check ‘em out!

So I guess you're wondering what the crew have been doing with all the Homegrown material we've received so far, right? Well, we’ve been doing a lot of laughing, even a little crying, and generally ripping through rolls of random extreme footage and bringing it all together to make the first batch, which is now ready for consumption. To begin with, Homegrown will feature as a slot within our new lifestyle show, Gen://ex, which you can catch every Friday at 5pm.

Here’s a list of clips which made it to the first batch of Homegrown, and which dates you can see them on TV.

Don’t despair if your clips didn’t make it into the first batch, or if you haven’t sent them in yet. You can still send us your best and your worst efforts for batch two, which will go into the processing plant later this year. And since Homegrown is about giving the steering wheel to you guys - we need tunes to go with the insane footage. So if you are a budding DJ or in an up and coming band or (not signed) then send us your CD along with this form (click here to download) and we’ll give it a listen.

Okay, the details. We should be able to handle just about any format - VHS, miniDV, CD, DVD etc. Obviously the higher the quality the better, but bear in mind we can’t return your tapes. Each crew will only get a minute or two, so don’t be disappointed if we don’t put your whole video out! And because we need to tweak and trim your footage down, its best if you can send us a version without music over the top of it.

Finally, we’re all about the stunts, but we want to see a bit about you too! What makes you do this stuff? Where do you live? What do you do when you’re not filming your own madness?
