what is Jeet kune Do

The one who spend the most time with Bruce is Dan. The one who has the highest rank in JKD is Dan. He knows what he is talking about. Rick Young knows what he is talking about and I know what I am talking about. JF Gung Fu is one thing with its certificate. JKD is other thing with its certificate.

So called original JKD people, as You seems to be used to talking about the one only private student, one only protege etc. and they are making "political" JKD instead of functional martial arts.

I dont want argue what JKD is and what isnt in "political" point of view, and who is the man and who is not ;). If You dont want to talk about JKD metodology, principless etc - this is not subject for me. Sorry...

I am not saying that one is better than another. But me and SteFan find that it should be a clear and balanced distinction between JKD concepts and Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do so people had the opportunity to choose. For example JKD concepts guys don't pay attention if they punch with lead hand with the horizontal or vertical fist. Becouse as they say:" Do what is suitable for you". "No way as the way means no principles". But Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do is so scientifical that there are principles how to stand, move and how to punch or kick. To me JKD has the particular structure. This is what Bruce meant saying that Unless people would have four arms and four legs people won't have different martial art. People are build in the same way we all have four arms and four legs only our personality differs. JKD is scientifical approach to martial art it is not based on 26 or more martial arts neither it contains them. That's why it is non classical, simple and direct and teaches how to use our tools to the maximmum.

With all the respect Dan Inosanto is not the one who had spent most time traning with Bruce. It is all in Bruce Lee's day timers, they are avaible in Bruce Lee The art of Expressing the Human body. You can see there and count that Ted Wong is the one who has spent most of the time with Bruce. It's is not about JKD politics it all about facts. That people should know.

Ted Wong was private student of Bruce but was promoted to instructor by DAN INOSANTO, not Bruce (source Nucleus, Linda Lee).
Your wanted facts...Two people who have JKD degree are Taky Kimura and Dan Inosanto.

The most important thing in JKD is interception. I've never understood people who argue about details like where I should put my finger, and they do not have a strong base or delivery system in each area (punching, kicking, trapping, grappling).
Whithout good delivery system You cant fight, and JKD was invented for fighting. Sparing (fighting) is the heart and soul of JKD.

First of all Ted Wong was certified personally by Bruce Lee in Jeet Kune Do not Jun Fan Gung Fu. You have got bad resources. According to Linda Lee Ted Wongs Jeet Kune Do is the purest and closest to Bruce Lee, no wonder that Shannon Lee is learning from Ted. Everything is in Bruce Lee's daytimers. Ted Wong was completly formed by Bruce Lee as he had no martial arts expierience since he met Bruce Lee. As far as teaching is concerned after Bruce Lee's death Ted Wong wasn't teaching publicly only privately it was Linda Lee who asked him to teach. I don't know from where you got your info but you are mistakenly wrong. Dan Inosanto was not the part of JKD Nucleus. My JKD experience started from meeting Ted Wong, becouse as only one from Poland I was invited to parti****te in his seminarI met him, trained with him and was personally instructed by him. On this seminar he reccomened me to continue my JKD journey under Stefan Nikander guidence as he is one of the first instructors of Ted Wong in Europe. And he was present on the JKD Nucleus meettings also he knows Linda Lee personally and Shannon Lee as well. So it will be no problem to present the real facts.

Why does this word parti****te (syn. attend, taking part) is censored??

I read on this forum that W.A who claims to be JKD instructor wrote that Tim Tackett is a original student of Bruce Lee which is simply not true. Tim Tackett never trained with Bruce Lee he didn't know him personally. At www.jkdwednite.com the website of Tim he writes that his teacher was Dan Inosanto. And that he was learning under him in 1970( when Bruce was in Hong Kong). What you are saying is the wrong as well as claim that Tim Tackett is one of Bruce Lee's students.

What I meant in earlier post was that Ted had no experience in martial arts before he start with Bruce Lee. After few session in L.A school Bruce invited Ted to his house to teach him privately. After 3 months Bruce certified Ted in 2nd Rank in Jeet Kune Do ( NOT JUN FAN GUNG FU) when Dan Inosanto was promoted 3rd rank after 4 years. What do you think how long would for Ted to get 3rd Rank if Bruce would have not passed away unexpectably??
