Keith Rockel vs. Chris Ligouri
The fight immediately goes to the ground. Rockel opens up a nasty cut with strikes, but Ligouri manages an escape. Once standing, Rockel takes him right back to the mat and catches him in a guillotine choke!

Yves Edwards v. Nick Agallar
Slow first round with both fighters feeling each other out. No significant blows landed outside of an Agallar right hand. No takedowns. The second round starts off the same way. After about a minute, the fighters engage for real. Yves scores big with a beatuful straight left to the chin/right kick to the face combination that sends Nick down. Yves mounts him, Agallar gives up his back, only to absorb a flurry of looping hooks to the head. The ref stops it immediately. TKO (referee stoppage) 2:14 of round 2.

Ricco Rodriguez v. Pedro Rizzo
The first two rounds have Ricco fighting from his guard and Rizzo pounding him. Oddly enough Rizzo throws him and Ricco seemed confused from his back. Round 3 is where the action happened. Pedro lands a big left hand that rocked Rodriguez. Ricco tried a flying knee that was unsuccessful. Rizzo is defending takedowns like I've never seen. Rizzo is fighting for his job and he's acting like it - he's aggressive, he's pushing the action, he's defending takedowns like a superstar. Rizzo keeps trying for the takedown unsuccessfully and Rizzo keeps peppering him. He finishes the fight with a 3-punch combination. Easy decision win.

Robbie Lawler vs. Chris Lytle
ROUND 1:
Lawler scores an early takedown in round 1. Lytle tries for a guillotine, but Lawler defends well. HUGE SLAM by Lawler to escape the guillotine. Lytle pulls guard. Man, that slam was Rampage-esque. Lytle takes a risky approach by trying for an armbar and Lawler rolls out and starts pounding him. Side mount for Lawler. Lytle almost has a heel hook and Lawler escapes after a moment of trepidation. Lytle in the half guard. Not much happening now. Lawler is controlling, but Lytle moves back to the closed guard. Lawler is landing good shots - he escapes the guard and stands to punch. Lytle kicks Lawler in the mouth from his back and Lawler laughs. Round ends. Edge - Lawler.

ROUND 2:
They're circling. Lytle lands a left hook and Lawler laughs again. Folks, when a fighter laughs after getting hit, that means it HURT! Robbie is not his normal aggressive self. Lytle is trying to work Lawler's hip by throwing inside leg kicks and outside kicks to the bad leg. Robbie is very passive. 2 minutes left and Lawler hasn't done a thing. Lytle is outlanding Lawler - EXCHANGE and Lytle lands short left hooks and right hands. Lawler is more aggressive now. He's trying to answer back and he's landed a few good shots - overhand right and a uppercut. Lytle comes in and Lawler lands a left hook to the forehead. Lytle keeps working the formerly-injured leg. Not much action. Edge - Lytle

ROUND 3:
Lawler goes for a takedown and Lytle defends easily. Lawler lands a huge uppercut and Lytle was unphased. Lytle is not afraid. Minor exchange - HUGE kick from Lawler. Robbie jumps in for a punch and Lytle hits him with a left hook. Lawler yells at him and both fighters stand and flex at each other screaming. They engage. Lawler drops Lytle with a huge right hook, Lytle clapped and waited for Robbie to accept his guard but Lawler just waited for him to stand up. Another exchange - Lytle gets the best of it with an inside kick, right hand upstairs combo. 1:30 left. It's anyone's fight. Wild left hook by Lytle - it hurt. 1 minute left. Robbie looks tired. Lawler goes for the takedown. Double underhooks. Lytle defends. They're against the cage. Lawler gets him down. Awkward position. Lytle has Robbie's back from behind. They stand. Lytle suplexes him. Lawler reverses. They exchange. GREAT FIGHT! Edge - Lawler (only because of the knockdown)

Phil Baroni vs. Evan Tanner
ROUND 1:
Baroni lands a few huge punches to start. Tanner goes for the clinch and Baroni lands. Tanner tries for the takedown. Baroni shows great wrestling base. TANNER IS CUT! Baroni has landed at least 15 huge punches within the first minute. Tanner has a cut on the forehead and under his left eye. He is able to continue if he wants - those cuts will not offer danger to his vision. Baroni drops BOMBS! The cut is checked and the fight is resumed. Baroni lands on the opening. Tanner has the Muay Thai clinch and lands many knees to the body of Baroni, but he's ok. Nothing upstairs. Tanner with an inside kick. Baroni forces the action and lands another right hand. Tanner forces Baroni to the fence. He's working knees. Baroni escapes. Tanner outside leg kick and Baroni counters with a left hook. Tanner still looks a little woozy. He wants none of Baroni in the exchange. Both fighters are against the cage again with Tanner leaning on him. Nothing happening. Tanner goes for the double leg - HE GET'S IT! Tanner has Baroni pinned against the cage. 1:20 left. Baroni in the half-guard and holding on for a stand-up. Tanner is pounding him to the head. A few heavy forearms get through. Baroni is fine. Tanner has the full mount. 30 seconds left. Tanner lands elbow after elbow. Baroni is confused. Tanner is landing but Baroni is not in danger. Landless stops the fight. Baroni throws a punch at Landless from his back. Words are exchanged between Landless and Baroni when Baroni fires another shot at Landless. Both punches appear to miss. McCarthy is in the ring as is Dana White. Dana White can be cleary heard yelling, "Fuc#ing settle down!" Baroni pushes everyone away. Landless claims he asked Baroni if he wanted to continue and Baroni said "stop" twice. Baroni claims he said "no, stop asking me." Baroni spoke with Tanner at at center octagon and seemed to get Tanner's confirmation that the stoppage was undue. That was a BAD STOPPAGE! Baroni was answering Landless. Baroni has no marks on his face. Tanner looks beat to death. TKO Tanner. Afterwards, Baroni apologized for his actions.

David 'Tank' Abbott vs. Wesley 'Cabbage' Correira
WOW! The fight starts with fireworks. They land equally. Tank tries to take Cabbage down - NOPE! Cabbage stands and gets the clinch and throws some ineffective knees. They're against the cage with Cabbage againt the fence. Tank is opened on the forehead from a knee. They move to the center. Tank is wobbled. Tank initiates an exchange. Cabbage is getting the best of him. Cabbage can't miss with the knees. They move back to the cage with Tank forcing him. Big John stops the fight to check Tank's cut. He's bleeding badly. They stop the fight because the cut is over the right eye. Bad stoppage because it's 2 inches above the eye. Pandemonium breaks out as Cabbage celebrates with the Cabbage patch and Tank's corner takes exception. It appears as if a bottle of water has been thrown into the ring. Tank tries to get to him. Everyone jumps into the ring including Chuck Liddell. People are holding Tank back. Chuck is holding Grappling Unlimited's team back. Joe Rogan just clowned Tank saying "this is why MMA isn't mainstream." Shame on you, Joe. This happens in Boxing, MLB, NBA and NFL daily. Remember Pedro throwing Don Zimmer a month ago? While Rogan is busy condemning the action in the ring, he is cussing a blue streak. The pot calls the kettle black.

Matt Lindland vs. Falaniko Vitale
ROUND 1:
Lindland opens up landing punches - Hendo was right that Matt worked on his hands. Vitale throws a kick and slips. Matt jumps on him - Vitale in full guard and moves away from the cage, expertly. Lindland does not want to be here because this Vitale's world. Lindland passes and is in the side mount. Vitale is defending well. He pulls full guard. Nothing much happening. Vitale attempts an armbar. Lindland attempts to pass. Vitale neutralized it - full guard. Lindland lands a few elbow strikes. Lindland stands and tries the Sakuraba leg kick. Back in the full guard. Vitali is in no trouble. Edge - Lindland

ROUND 2:
Lindland lands the first big blow. Where did those hands come from? Matt's working to stay in the UFC - he want's to be more entertaining. Vitale looks gassed. They're against the cage. Matt's trying for a single leg. Nope! Lindland keeps landing hands. They're back to the middle of the ring. Lindland tries a high kick, spins and is back in position. WHAT? Matt is very well prepared. Wild left hook from Vitali misses. Lindland forces him to the cage. He can't secure the double leg. But Lindland is throwing low knees while trying for the double leg. Vitale has double underhooks. Lindland is in no trouble. Vitale's back is against the cage. Lindland slips out and throws a left hook and a knee. Landless restarts them for inaction. Sloppy boxing from both fighters as they start. Back to the cage wall. Matt is controlling the action again. Edge - Lindland

ROUND 3:
Round starts. Matt kicks himself to the ground. Matt is working his guard well. Vitale is standing and Matt is kicking him. Vitale now accepts Matt's guard. Vitale has one leg outside the guard - half guard. Vitali is working, but Lindland seems comfortable. Vitale is trying to pass. No side control yet. Vitale stands again to try and pass from his feet. Lindland lands a kick. Vitale kicks to the legs. Back to the half guard. LINDLAND REVERSES! Half guard LINDLAND! Uh oh! Lindland is throwing punches from the half guard - no side control. FULL MOUNT LINDLAND! Fight is over. TKO. Vitale appeared to have tapped, but I'm not sure.

UFC WELTERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg
ROUND 1:
Trigg takes Hughes down at the bell. Almost full mount, Hughes showed great jiu-jitsu to reverse and come back to where he's now going for a single leg. Trigg has a hook in so no dice. They're stalemated. North-south. Trigg is against the fence standing. HUGHES WITH A HUGH SLAM - he walked around with Trigg for about 10 seconds to punk him. Trigg has a kimura from the bottom. Hughes in the half guard so the kimura is useless. Trigg spins out. He reverses and Hughes is in the guard. Trigg is landing punches standing into Matt's guard. This is a wrestling, jiu-jitsu match. Grappling at it's best. Trigg is down. HUGHES HAS HIS BACK. Hughes has hooks and has a rear naked choke. Trigg is standing. Hughes has it sunk completely. Trigg taps his right thigh. Fight over. Matt Hughes submitted Frank Trigg.
