"With Wanderlei Silva training hard, and many rumors about injuries with Ricardo Arona, and many other issues that could create problems for the Pride Middleweight Championship bout, this coming December 31st, questions were raised if the fight would truly be signed or not. However, as FCF has been saying in this space for a while, the bout is truly on. Rumors have the an agreement between the parts and Pride was reached this past week, and unless some major injury take place between now and the date of the fight, Ricardo Arona and Wanderlei Silva will have their rematch this coming New Year's Eve in Japan."

Paulao: "He is strong like hell"


Pride fighter Paulo Filho climbs down the stairs in Brazilian Top Team QG, e suddenly faces an old friend of his.
They start a happy conversation, mock each other and the training partners around laugh a lot.
Paulao´s old buddy is actually Ricardo Arona, Pride middleweight belt challenger, who will fight Wanderlei Silva next 12/31.

"When those two are together, we here use to pick on them it is just like a planetary alignment, it is shocking. However it is really a cosmic show, because they are really funny together, both remember lots of hilarious stories and all the team has fun during training", says Jose Mario Sperry, one of Top Team leaders.

Yesterday was one of these days. Arona went for it real hard with his partners in the two-hours MMA training.

"Arona seems strong like hell", says Paulo Filho.

Roan Carneiro Jucao, 80kg ADCC fighter, remembers all BTT guys have been focusing in these two important battles for BTT athletes: Arona x Wanderlei and Bustamante x Henderson.

"The weather is getting hot during all our training, and Arona trained real hard yesterday", says Jucao, who dreams on fighting UFC or Rumble on The Rock next year."
